Based on the famous Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, created by Frances Glessener Lee in 1946, the infamous "Death Room" projects have returned to McCloud High School. Originally created by Lee, a pioneer of forensic science, to use in lectures on the subject of crime scene investigation, students across the Siskiyou Union High School District will be creating their own "nutshell" dioramas of crime scenes for their final project. Applying all of the knowledge they have acquired throughout the school year, students will recreate a scene of murder that their fellow classmates will then have to solve based on the clues provided. They will also be utilizing skills in crime scene photography, evidence collection, and writing police reports. Lastly, students will need to use their deductive reasoning skills to find out "who done it?" by profiling the killers and attempting to solve the crimes. Stay tuned for more!
